We came, we saw, we barned.

2024 GINGERBARN RECAP

Well, folks, we did it. The first annual (because you know we’re doing this again) Gingerbarn Decorating Contest at Westward was a smashing success. From sugar-high-induced masterpieces to frosting mishaps that could rival a snowstorm, it was everything we hoped for and more.

The Winners

Let’s get straight to the stars of the show:
First Place: Molly Kirk
Second Place: Sara Sipe
Third Place: Beth Gunthardt

The Runners-Up (AKA Everyone Else)

To everyone who didn’t win, don’t think we didn’t notice your gingerbread greatness. From candy-coated pastures to barn roofs that defied gravity (and probably some laws of physics), your creativity blew us away.

Why Gingerbarns?

Because regular gingerbread houses are so last year. We’re all about creativity and adventure here at Westward, and what’s more adventurous than reimagining barns in edible form? Whether your barn was inspired by a Hallmark movie or a Pinterest fail, it was uniquely YOU—and we loved every crumb of it.

Looking Ahead

We’re already dreaming up ideas for next year (think themes, prizes, and maybe even a category for “Most Likely to Collapse Under Frosting Pressure”). So if you missed out this year, don’t worry—you’ll have plenty of time to practice your candy construction skills.

Thanks for making our first Gingerbarn Decorating Contest unforgettable. You brought the creativity, the laughs, and let’s be honest, the sugar crashes. Can’t wait to see you all next year!

Stay sweet,
The Westward Team 🍬✨
